Understanding Dog Barking In Your Pet
It can be frustrating if your pet dog seemingly barks at everything all the time. Incessant dog barking can be annoying when you’re trying to accomplish something or trying to rest, and can cause you trouble if neighbors are disturbed by the racket. There are different reasons why dogs bark and should be addressed accordingly. Solutions for one underlying reason may not work for another, so it’s important that you understand your pet. Once you know the reason, you no longer have to resort to hiring a dog trainer to stop the barking.
As long as you pay attention to your dog, it’s easy to learn the underlying reason for the barking. If you notice that your dog tends to bark at anything that moves outside your home, you may want to close the curtains. Your dog may be acting territorial and feel every movement outside is a threat to their territory. If you’re dog is restless, seems frustrated or insecure, then you may want to pay more attention to it. Increase your time together to play or for exercise. When they’re used to you telling them to bark, they are less likely to do so without your command. This training tip can help if your dog tends to bark compulsively or tends to bark when it’s excited to see you come from work.
